Features of the Program

1

Recover

Goal #1 is to help you stop the pain cycle and help your body achieve a state of optimal healing. This will be achieved through a combination of lifestyle medicine education, teaching you about your own specific condition, providing manual therapies as necessary, and teaching you an individualized home program for your daily use. Truly, you spend WAY more time with yourself than you will with me.

2

Train

At this point, pain no longer impacts daily activities; as a result, manual therapy performance is reduced. The focus of your care shifts toward addressing the mechanical factors that allowed your condition or pain to occur in the first place. Gradually, we will work to progress the load and difficulty of activities until they begin to closely mimic the functional requirements to achieve your ultimate goal.

3

Level-Up

This is where you put your body to the test, gradually returning to your desired activities. It is important that you have guidance for a sage progression back into activity vs. ripping off a bandaid and potentially experiencing a set-back that you don’t know how to handle on your own. Recovery is rarely a continuous upward slope, so we want to make sure you continue to have the resources necessary for confidence! Before the end of your visits with Dr. C, you should have safely returned to your desired activity to make sure nothing was missed.

4

THRIVE

Thrive means to “grow vigorously, develop successfully, flourish.” In order to do that, consistent and intentional effort must be made. By this point, you can think of us as your personal health and accountability coach. You and your therapist can address anything of importance to you and anything we identify that would bolster your overall health and performance, provided we’re on the same page. This includes stress management, environmental factors that impact health, sleep hygiene, physical activity, and nutrition. When you choose to work with us at Thrive with Dr. C, not only will you be back to the activities you love, but you’ll also be on your way to thrive, showing up as the best version of yourself at home, work, and in the gym/studio.
