Dr. Lydia Peters PT, DPT

A smiling woman with shoulder-length black hair wearing a black long-sleeve top, standing against a dark background.

Dr. Lydia Peters is a skilled and compassionate physical therapist with over 8 years of dedicated experience encompassing outpatient orthopedics, subacute rehab, acute care, and long-term care. She began to love outpatient orthopedics as it offered an opportunity to see consistent progress in her patient’s recovery, while using a collaborative approach to reach their goals, regain function, and alleviate pain.

Dr. Peters has a background as a massage therapist, and practiced for 3 years before completing her Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Andrews University. She has built a reputation for delivering exceptional care through a combination of manual therapy techniques and personalized exercise programs designed to restore mobility and improve strength in her patients.
Her approach to physical therapy is rooted in a holistic manner, tailoring individualized treatment plans that focus on the person and their lifestyle needs. She is passionate about empowering her patients with the knowledge and tools they need to actively participate in their recovery and takes pride in seeing them return to the activities they love; whether that’s a simple walk, playing sports, or living pain-free post-surgery.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Peters enjoys salsa dancing, hiking, and exploring new areas.

Andrea Cross, Client Care Coordinator

Peter Langsdorf, LMT

A woman with medium skin tone, black wavy hair, wearing a black and white patterned blouse with olive green accents, pearl earrings, and a pearl necklace, smiling in front of a plain beige wall.

Andrea Cross is a dedicated Client Care Coordinator with a strong background in various areas of the healthcare field. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration Management from George Mason University and brings both professional expertise and a personal passion for helping others thrive. Fluent in Spanish, Andrea values clear communication and meaningful connections with patients and colleagues alike.

With a deep commitment to improving the patient experience, she is driven by the belief that every person deserves compassionate, effective care. Outside of work, Andrea enjoys reading, listening to music, working out with her husband, and planning weddings—finding joy in making special moments unforgettable for others.

Peter Langsdorf has been a Licensed Massage Therapist in Virginia since 2018, graduating from the Potomac Massage Training Institute in Silver Spring, MD, where he subsequently served as an instructor, teaching numerous subjects, such as: Anatomy & Physiology, Pathology for Massage Therapists, Clinical Applications & Integration, Medical Terminology, and SOAP Charting. He comes to massage therapy as a second career, having previously worked as a federal records manager.

Since graduating, Peter has continued to hone his massage therapy techniques, gravitating to neuromuscular therapy (including trigger point release) with an emphasis on working with chronic pain and post-injury rehabilitation. He incorporates numerous other techniques into his work: myofascial release, manual lymphatic drainage, Swedish, deep tissue, and somatic movement therapies, blending them into a unique style that offers multiple approaches to any challenge. Peter believes strongly in leveraging massage therapy to increase body awareness and educate clients about how their own bodies work, not just treating an immediate problem but improving function long-term.

When not in the treatment room, Peter enjoys camping, climbing, and board games. His passion for anatomy and physiology also extends to four-legged creatures: he’s dabbled in canine massage, and enjoys practicing with his two in-house clients, Kira and Odyssey.

This practice was born out of a desire to do things differently, providing comprehensive care customized to each person, ongoing access and support to your therapist, transparency on cost and plan of care from day one, and not to mention a refreshing perspective on physical therapy.
